At Chic Surroundings, we believe that interior design is much more than just designing beautiful spaces. A home should be stylish, yet functional; sophisticated, yet fulfilling. Each of our home designs are crafted to be as unique as the individuals living in them.
Understanding your lifestyle and design aesthetic is a critical step in our design process, because it ensures we'll create a space that's perfect for you and your family. By taking the time to listen and get to know you, we can bridge the gap between an aesthetically pleasing home and a functional one. So, whether you've clearly defined your vision, or you need some direction from a trained eye, we're here to help you refine or identify your design goals.

inquiry phase
DISCOVERY CALL, complimentary
Upon receiving your inquiry, we'll contact you to schedule a 20-minute phone call to discuss your project goals, timeline, and budget. We'll also share more information about our process to determine if we are a good fit, and answer any questions you may have.

INITIAL CONSULTATION
Before you officially become a client, we'll schedule a 60-minute in-home consultation. During this meeting we'll walk through your space, take notes, and gather the information we need to prepare a detailed contract that outlines the scope of work and estimated project timeline.

CONCEPT DEVLOPMENT
With a full understanding of your lifestyle and design aesthetic, we'll work alongside your architect and/or contractor to ensure the spatial planning accommodates your desired features, considers functionality, and aligns with your aesthetic. Once the plans are complete, we'll shift our focus to beautifying your space and begin planning the overall look and feel for your home. Just before moving on to the detailed design phase, we'll enable you to visualize your finished space with a short presentation that showcases our initial concepts.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Our goal is to ensure every detail is executed perfectly and per our design plan. Over the course of the project, we'll collaborate with your contractors and place orders with our vendors and suppliers. This may include scheduled site visits, or our team acting as the liaison between you and your contractor.

KICKOFF MEETING
The kickoff meeting is the offical start to your project! During this 90-minute in-home consultation, we'll take pictures and measurements, catalog your existing furniture, if applicable, and discuss your vision. We encourage anyone who will be involved in the design decisions to be present for this meeting.

DESIGN
During this phase, your designer will be hard at work pulling together all the elements to bring your design to life. This is when all of the interior and exterior specifications are made. Once all the finishing touches on your design are complete, we'll review your complete design and all the details, which may include: technical drawings, renderings, design boards, fabric swatches, finish samples, and proposals. Upon approval, we'll finalize the design and source finishes, fixtures, furnishings, accessories, and/or window treatments (if included).

INSTALLATION
The final phase is where the magic happens—your installation day(s)! We'll coordinate the delivery of any furniture, accessories and/or window treatments purchased directly through Chic Surroundings, LLC and be on-site to ensure everything is in its place, so you can enjoy a big reveal.
*With the exception of the Discovery Call, an hourly consultation fee will be applied to all services*
